RMS Titanic was actually scheduled to arrive at PIER 59 in NEW YORK on April 17, 1912 but, after the disaster, the Carparthia dropped Titanic's lifeboats at pier 59 and continued to port at pier 54. Pier 54 on New York has a memorial.
