As at 2018 Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is the only remaining main character whose original surname has yet to be revealed (although viewers have been able to discern the name "Teller" on a package in The Big Bang Theory: The Work Song Nanocluster (2009)). In the season nine premiere, she simply took Leonard (Johnny Galecki)'s surname of Hofstadter.
