Mechagodzilla is the fourth Toho monster to be defeated by Kong. It is also the second time Mechagodzilla has not been directly defeated by Godzilla, the first being during the climax of the 2018 film, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, where Mechagodzilla was destroyed by Haruo Sakaki.
