Polly Holiday as Gloria Chaney the Hillard's next door neighbor has less than one minute of screen time in the final version of the film as all of her other scenes were deleted due to time constraints. Holiday asked to have her name removed from the opening credits in the final cut due to her extremely limited appearance but Chris Columbus and 20th Century Fox decided to keep her name in the opening credits as compensation for almost all of her scenes being deleted.
