When it debuted, there were no themed showcases, afterwards, when the producers were just showing the same prizes over and over again, they felt they had to disguise the fact they were doing the themed showcases, by putting the prizes in with the title, so it wouldn't be so obvious that they had a limited supply of prizes. This is sometimes referred to as "throwing sand in the viewers eyes!" Bob Barker never interfered with what the producers wrote, however, there were two main directives, keep them limited, and not focused around rodeos, zoos or even circuses, in a way Bob didn't like exploiting animals.
