There was a deal with Saxa Salt and there was blatant product placement in the film during one scene with Charles Hawtrey. This was unusual in the UK in the 1960's. However, with the James Bond films also being made at Pinewood Studios, with their product placement agreements, and adverts also, this was becoming the norm. Some Carry On films appeared to also have product placement from Rothmans cigarettes, and Johnnie Walker Whisky.
