Actors considered to play the Fourth Doctor included Michael Bentine, Bernard Cribbins, Graham Crowden, Fulton Mackay and Jim Dale. Crowden would later play Soldeed in "The Horns of Nimon", while Bernard Cribbins, who was in Daleks il futuro tra un milione di anni (1966), would have a recurring role as Wilfred Mott in the revived series.
