During opening night for the film at the Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinepolis in Austin, Texas, an actual bat was released in the movie theater, disrupting moviegoers. The incident was a prank done by a mischievous moviegoer. Some moviegoers were annoyed and were refunded by the theater, while the others stayed and watched the rest of the film while the bat was still in the theater. The movie theater stated that security will check belongings to prevent these types of occurrences from happening in the future.
