The plot is also based on an episode of "The Three Stooges" short Half-Wits Holiday (1947) with the storyline of two wealthy psychologists who argue that behaviour is formed by environment or nurture. They make a $1000 wager that one of them can transform three "morons" into gentlemen in 60 days. This episode is a reworking of a scene from "The Three Stooges Collection" (2007) {Hoi Polloi (#1.10)}. Sadly, this episode marks the end of Curly Howard's career, as he suffered a debilitating stroke shortly before the filming of the final scene, a pie fight.
