The same year as this film's release, Brent Spiner (Dr. Okun) starred in another sci-fi movie Primo contatto (1996) which he reprised his role as the android Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). In that film, The Enterprise crew travel back through time to Post World War III Earth to stop The Borg from changing history and assimilating the human race.
