Rasputin's method of manipulating people consists of hypnotizing people with his gaze and a strange humming noise from his mouth. The humming noise appears to be a form of Throat-Singing, a form of enunciation that has grown in popularity thanks to various heavy metal bands in the Scandinavia regions as well as Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's 'Dune'.
