It was stated in a recent interview by director Chad Hartigan that the scene of Emma (Olivia Cooke) and Jude (Jack O'Connell) driving in a car before Jude begins to sing to Emma's horror, had improvised sections from Olivia Cooke after having heard Jack O'Connell perform karaoke a few days prior.
