(at around 50 mins) Linda Hamilton was first approached to reprise her role as Sarah Connor, but she turned it down. In a 2009 interview with MTV, Hamilton revealed that she found the part too insignificant, since her character died halfway through the screenplay, and there was no time to mourn her. She was written out of the film, with a line of dialog by John Connor explaining that Sarah died of leukemia in 1997.
