The stagecoach which delivers Stoddard and Peabody to the political convention has a very faint legend on it which reads BUTTERFIELD STAGE LINES. The fact that the name is painted out is appropriate, as the stage line only operated for three years between 1858 and 1861, ceasing operations some fourteen years before the statehood vote. It is very likely the same stagecoach used in Quel treno per Yuma (1957), loaned to Paramount by Columbia.
