Several times during the film, sugar cubes are seen being used when drinking tea. The plot assumes the currency of the East India Trading Company, which places the timescale pre-1858. Sugar cubes were invented in 1841 by Jakub Krystof Rad, and the depiction of their use in this film is therefore incorrect.
