Brad Pitt revealed that he almost got fired on his very first film. He played a waiter with no lines, but he wanted to get a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card, which required actors to have a line of dialogue. He improvised something he believed was appropriate, but as soon as he did, the director called out "Cut!" and the assistant director told him he would've been off the set if he did it again.
