The standard opening in Seasons one and two has Sheldon walking into frame, taking a superhero stance, then moving to his left slightly as a cow approaches him. At least one episode opening per season is slightly different: in Season one, a tumbleweed rolls by, making him jump out of the way; in Season two, the camera does a 360 around him. Beginning with season 3, the opening switches from Sheldon alone to having him walking up to the rest of his family, often dressed differently as Einstein, or The Flash, or in a Star Trek uniform, leaving his other family members initially looking at him puzzled. Beginning with Season 5, the rest of the family no longer look at him puzzled when he walks up, but the animal that walks slowly toward them is no longer a contented cow, but now a dark brown bull.
