Even though Disney were discouraged from releasing sequels to 2D Animated Disney Animated Feature films prior to 2006 Theatrically after the failiure of Bianca e Bernie nella terra dei canguri (1990), this film still had a Theatrical Release undergoing what Walt Disney had in mind with the first film for many years, a legacy of which his nephew Roy Edward Disney wanted to live up to.
