The excrement smeared on Paul Reubens was made with cocoa, chunky peanut butter and corn. In the DVD extras, Thomas Jane walks by and quips "You look like shit, Paul." When it first was applied Paul quipped "I feel like shit." When Jacob Olthof wore the suit as his stunt double he thought he smelled great.
