When Gordie first enters Columbia he jumps into the rapids to escape. This piece was filmed in the rapids at the Sub Tropical Swimming Paradise at Centre Parcs, Whinfell. After release, a huge and very public argument blew up in the UK press as it was clear that the filming hadn't taken place at Whinfell but at the Sherwood Forest Centre Parcs instead.
