Executive producer Greg Weisman was only involved in the first season. His name was absent in a press release by Disney/Lucasfilm announcing the second season, and he later confirmed he would be leaving after production was completed on the first season. However, Weisman continued to explore Kanan Jarrus' early years by writing "Kanan: The Last Padawan" for Marvel comics.
