When Diana takes Steve around the Space Museum, one of the exhibits hanging from the ceiling is the rebuilt Northrup M2-F2 that Major Steve Austin crashed, causing him to become L'uomo da sei milioni di dollari (1974). The M2-F3 hanging in the Smithsonian was built from the wreckage of the M2-F2, and modified with an additional third vertical fin - centered between the tip fins - to improve flight control characteristics. Loss of flight control is what caused the original accident.
