According to special effects makeup head Tony Gardner, the film looked like a lot of fun from the start. The script was similar to the original, "it was definitely one of those laugh out loud kind of reads," the dialogue is sprinkled with what are sure to be new catchphrases, and the film delivers on bizarro doppelgängers, and an explosive finale.
