During Helen's fantasy when she states her plot to kill Madeline to Ernest, a drugged Madeline is put behind the wheel of her car until Helen took the brake off, causing the car to drive off of a cliff and crash into a fiery explosion. This scene is similar to one of the film's original endings in the script in which Madeline and Helen accidentally drive off of a cliff chasing Ernest.
