While the show is based on New York's Bellevue Hospital and occasionally was filmed in the hospital's famous lobby, 60% of the show was actually filmed at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. This was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic where the show then had multiple sets built to look exactly like the halls of Kings County Hospital.
