Lucius' and Harry's exchange just before Lucius leaves Dumbledore's office was not in the script, but completely improvised by the actors on the spot. Jason Isaacs thought he should say something and Chris Columbus told him to try something. Isaacs quipped "Let us hope that Mr. Potter will always be around to save the day" and Daniel Radcliffe immediately replied "Don't worry, I will be". This ended up both in the final cut of this movie and the trailer.
