Eric Valette and Shannyn Sossamon have disowned the film and claim to hate it. In an interview, Sossamon revealed that the decision to make the film PG-13 was made at the last minute, after principal photography, and against the wishes of director Eric Valette, compromising his original vision. Valette was allegedly upset that Sossamon attended a screening of the theatrical version before getting a chance to see his version. Although this implies that a director's cut of the film exists, no such version has ever been released, nor have any scenes from it showed up anywhere. The DVD / Blu-ray doesn't even have any special features, let alone deleted scenes.
