Hercules drops a statue of Hera down on Cotys. This is a fitting punishment for Cotys as Hera is the goddess of family and childbirth; after he had attempted to kill his own daughter and grandson, she would be offended by this act and would seek to punish him.This implies that Hera brought aid to Hercules. While Hera is Hercules' rival in Greek myth, it stems from him being her husband Zeus's child with another woman, something she as a marriage goddess considers an offense; however as Cotys committed a greater offense she punished him using his rival Hercules.
