In one of the Sunday dinner scenes they are talking about their failures of the week past and one of Danny's son's mentions that he asked a girl out and was rejected and Danny says, "oh please don't go girl". This is a nod to New Kids on the Block, a boy band that Donnie Wahlberg (Danny Reagen) has been in the since the late 1980's along with Jordan Knight, Joey McEntire, Danny Wood, and Jonathon Knight (Jordan's brother).
