Lloyd Kaufman's cameo in the film doubles as a subversive reference to his film debut in Rocky (1976). In that film, he briefly appears as a drunken bar patron who is helped by Sylvester Stallone's character, Rocky Balboa. In this film, he once again plays a drunken bar patron, but in an ironic twist, Stallone's character, Nanaue/King Shark, is shown to have been waiting outside the bar, never encountering Kaufman.
