Originally, this show was titled as "Cow and Chicken/I Am Weasel" in the first two seasons. During the third season, the show can be split into these two, later renamed as "Cow and Chicken" but lost to "I Am Weasel" that got its own series (especially reruns of segment episodes from the first two seasons in both shows expect Buffalo Gals), featuring Cow and Chicken characters such as The Red Guy and Jolly Roger from the second season. Cow and Chicken was supposed to getting a renew for a fifth season, but due to the cancellation of the series, the sister spin-off I Am Weasel was premiered to renew a fifth season, but the spin-off show did not last very long after the main former show was canceled in July 1999 and was replaced by two new Cartoon Cartoon original series for Cartoon Network such as Courage the Cowardly Dog and Mike, Lu, and Og and Johnny Bravo was already running their second season. Cow and Chicken made their final appearance in the I Am Weasel episode "Rodeo Weasel" after the main series cancelled the previous year and the spin-off show was cancelled in March 2000.
