The film seems to end rather forced suddenly, e.g. no final lover's clinch between her and 'Jack' (Olavi Reimas) as you might expect from the earlier romantic set ups (tearful encounter in the street), with its penultimate scene with 'Anni' (Sirkka Sari) indeterminately 'seen' in the distance only waving to him from the homestead balcony; this was caused by actress Sirkka Sari's sudden death at a pre-wrap party (which she threw herself) - so this distance plus a few further back shot stand-ins were inserted to complete. Ironically, her death was reported to have been caused by her mistaking a chimney - which she fell into - for, evidently, a balcony to stand on. She had only recently turned nineteen.
