After finishing work on Doctor Who: Last Christmas (2014), Faye Marsay joined the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011) as The Waif. Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark in that series joined Doctor Who (2005) in Series 9 as recurring character Ashildr, which she played from Doctor Who: The Girl Who Died (2015) up to the season 9 finale Doctor Who: Hell Bent (2015).
