The Horace Green School portrayed in the movie is actually Main Hall at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. One of the theaters used in many of the shots was at Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, New Jersey. The house that Alexandre Julien grew up in, in Edison, New Jersey, appeared in the movie.
