Tom Hardy received his first story credit for this film, making him the fourth person to receive writing credit for a comic book superhero film that he also starred in, after: Christopher Reeve - Superman IV (1987)Paul Rudd - Ant-Man (2015)Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool 2 (2018)(Edward Norton rewrote Zak Penn's script for L'incredibile Hulk (2008), but did not receive credit.) Though he didn't technically write any of the screenplay or dialogue, Hardy did help pitch the storyline of the movie when it was first in development, and he had a clear vision of where he wanted the series to go.
