Lars Lindstrom is an invisible sitcom character; referred to thoughout the series but never seen. He is kind of like Arnold on the first season of Happy Days or Alan Brady on the first season of the Dick Van Dyke Show; these were all characters that were referred to and sometimes heard but never seen. Amazingly even in "The Lars Affair", an episode centered around Lars, and named after him; we still don't see Lars; he's just referred to offscreen by all the characters.
