The opening scene with Erik Satie and Francis Picabia shooting off a cannon is not actually part of "Entr'acte". It was originally shown as a prelude for the ballet "Relâche". Satie called his music for the piece "Projectionette" and included it in the ballet score but not for that of the film, which bore the separate title "Cinéma". This would cause synchronization problems when the cannon prelude clip was later edited into "Entr'acte" but without its intended accompaniment.
