Throughout the series, Nina constantly mentions her friend Binnie. However, Binnie wouldn't first "appear" until Nina saw her as a ghost in one of the final episodes of season 7. She was shown in a season 3 episode when Finch and Elliott don't believe she's real, so they break into Nina's apartment where she's staying after a surgery. But when they see her, she is completely covered in bandages.
