Director Patty Jenkins and executive producer Geoff Johns rewrote much of Allan Heinberg's script. Much to the dismay of producer Charles Roven, the two of them did not get a prompt writing credit as they were overruled by the Writer's Guild arbitration. To compound further, Zack Snyder, along with Heinberg and Jason Fuchs were given story credit although they had provided little input into the final script. Roven also added that Heinberg could have collaborated with Jenkins and Johns but commitments to his television project prevented him from continuing.
