During multiple scenes, several cast and crew members can be heard saying "Knoxville's gone insane". During the "Big Red Rocket" stunt, Johnny Knoxville nearly suffered severe/fatal injuries when a rocket misfired out of the side of the big red rocket, missing him by inches. He then walked around on the dock laughing and Bam says, "He nearly died and he's laughing his ass off!" Two weeks after filming was completed, Knoxville was so eager to keep filming that he would purposefully film himself running into street signs for the sake of additional footage due to his not wanting it to be over. This footage can be seen on the 'Making Of' section of the DVD.
