Many aspects from the Sam Raimi trilogy were also used here such as: -Gwen saying, "There are only fourteen", similar to the way Mary Jane pointed that out in Spider-Man (2002). -The conversation Peter has with Uncle Ben in his car is almost word-for-word from the one he had in Spider-Man (2002). -The way Peter lets the thief go from the wrestling ring is very similar to the way Peter let him go in Spider-Man (2002). -Norman Osborn has a collection of "monster" masks, just like Norman does in Spider-Man (2002). -Dr. Octavius requires an "inhibitor chip", which would eventually backfire just like in Spider-Man 2 (2004). -Sandman's transformation is very similar to the one in Spider-Man 3 (2007). -The symbiote Spider-Man costume starts off looking very similar to the one in Spider-Man 3 (2007). -The way Peter removes the symbiote is very similar to the one in Spider-Man 3 (2007).
