In the VHS version of this film, the assassin falls from the glass tower near the film's ending, falls to the floor and dies. When people rush to his side, Michael Dorn's character says "This is not Klingon blood." Then he removes a mask from the assassin which reveals that he is Colonel West. This does not appear in the film when it is broadcast on television and cable networks. The entire scene does appear on the VHS version.
