Before making a decision to go to the hospital to get a helicopter, the group of survivors briefly considers going to the airfield, but Dallas dismisses this idea because it is too far out. In an early draft of the screenplay, the climax would have taken place at that airfield. The group also consists of Tim (Molly's dad), Darcy (who lost her husband and son in the beginning), Drew (Ricky's manager) and three children. They find a news helicopter inside a hangar, but get immediately attacked by a horde of Aliens. Darcy is the first to be snatched away, and goes down fighting, while Drew is ripped apart by two Aliens. Wolfe the Predator then enters and de-cloaks, killing several Aliens with his wristblades and shoulder cannons, drawing away the attention from the humans who rush to the helicopter. Eventually, Wolfe battles overwhelming numbers, sustaining so many wounds that he tries to activate his self-destruct system, but his arm is ripped off before he can, and he dies of his injuries. While the humans defend the helicopter, Jesse is grabbed and killed by an Alien. The men shoot their way to the Predator's body, and Dallas obtains the Predator gun which he uses to successfully fend off the remaining creatures while they make their way back to the helicopter. As they enter and fly away, it is implied that they get caught in the nuclear blast anyway.
