The destination for most North Slope Oil Field workers in Alaska is the town of Deadhorse, located on the north coast of Alaska. The Prudhoe Bay Oil Fields are all around the small town and mainly operated by British Petroleum and ConocoPhillips and their many contract companies. To gain employment anywhere on the slope, someone from Human Resources of BP or Conoco Phillip's must sign off on the hiring.
