In the scene where Samantha Jackson (Amanda Seyfried)is introduced to John and Ted,she sits on the edge of her desk in bare feet and smokes from a marijuana bong.The decision to go barefoot was deliberate on the part of Seyfried-along with the drug use,it was meant to reinforce the impression that her character was a "free spirt" who could relate to them on a personal level.
