Olivia Benson is the only main character in the series whose parents and siblings are all deceased. Additionally, Benson, Peter Stone and Alexandra Cabot are the only main character in the series to have lost a parent and a sibling during their time on the series. Peter Stone's father passed away prior to his first appearance, though the funeral for Ben Stone was shown in Law & Order: Unità Speciale: The Undiscovered Country (2018). Stone later witnesses his sister, Pamela, get murdered in the episode Law & Order: Unità Speciale: Remember Me Too (2018). When Alexandra Cabot temporarily returns from Witness Protection in the episode Law & Order: Unità Speciale: Ghost (2005), it is revealed that her mother passed away sometime prior to her return and was unable to attend the funeral.
