Concept art for the film depicted Jennifer Lawrence who was considered for the role of Kayla, but it ultimately went to Chloë Grace Moretz. Incidentally, Chloë Grace Moretz was considered for the role Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games (2012) film series, which went to Jennifer Lawrence.
