The film stars Lito Rodgriguez, the Mexican born actor portrayed by Miguel Ángel Silvestre in Sense8, co-created by Lana Wachowski. Eerily enough, the title of the film is a reference as well to 1 Timothy 6:10 of the Holy Bible: "For the love of money is the root of all evil."
