A sequel idea was thrown around during the second and third season. There was no script or working title, but the idea was to introduce Barbra Gordon/Bat Girl, Harvey Dent/Two-Face, Poison Ivy and an array of new gadgets and vehicles. However FOX where not interested, partly due to racial concerns that Eartha Kitt was chosen to portray Catwoman, and it was unknown if Frank Gorshin would be on board to play The Riddler. With too many returning characters portrayed by new actors and a gamble on a new female co-lead FOX passed on the idea and instead only a short pilot was created to introduce Batgirl.
