When Giselle and Robert are walking through Central Park, he says to her that most people get to know each other before they get married. Giselle says she knows what's in Edward's heart. Later, when Giselle gets angry at Robert in his apartment, she moves closer to him, presses her hand against his heart, and looks up at him in shock. Then when Robert gives her a true love's kiss at the ball to save her life, Giselle awakens, looks at him and says, "I knew it was you", indicating that she was able to feel his affections towards her in the apartment the night she got angry.
